1. Who we are

This policy applies to Edee Apply, operated by Career Basket Services Pvt. Ltd. (CBS Group of Companies). By using the platform you agree to this policy. We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it — by signing up, completing your profile, filing applications, paying fees or contacting support.

2. Information we collect

  • Identity and contact: name, email address, mobile number.
  • Academic profile: education history, entrance-test details, course interests.
  • Application data: shortlists, submitted applications, documents you upload, decision updates.
  • Payment metadata: order and transaction references (card and bank details stay with Razorpay).
  • Credentials: password hashes for email sign-in; Firebase identifiers where used.
  • Support enquiries: anything you send through contact forms.

3. How we use it

To run your account, show eligibility, file and track applications, process payments, send transactional messages (decisions, receipts, alerts), respond to enquiries, and operate and improve the platform. We do not sell, rent or trade your information.

4. Who sees it

  • Institutions you apply to receive the application information their process requires — nothing is shared with an institution you have not applied to.
  • Razorpay receives what payment processing requires.
  • Internal CBS teams involved in operating the platform, bound by confidentiality and limited to what their role needs.
  • Law or government authorities, when legally required.

5. Security and retention

Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes, sessions are signed and revocable, and access to personal data is limited to authorised personnel. Operational records (applications, payments, audit entries) are retained as required for the service and the law; enquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve them.

6. Your choices
